*'Tis The Season*

Our decorating started a bit earlier this year then usual. We had been to see the Santa Claus Parade in our town on November 19th, which totally put me into the mood to get things organized and ready for the big day. So, the following day we dragged everything out of storage...and had a great time with the kids. 
This is the first year I think Caleb actually knew what was going on, and Ethan was mesmerized by all the lights. Breanna took charge decorating "her tree".
It was fun...makes for a LONG month waiting for Santa! If you saw the tree now, you'd laugh bc only the top half is decorated - far enough away from tiny hands! :)

Roasted red pepper & sweet potato soup

So as a request from Steve, I needed to figure out how to make this soup from scratch this past weekend. 

I headed to the grocery on a mission for sweet potatoes, red bell peppers, garlic, onions, broth and a few extras .

It was delicious, but not thick enough so I need to tweak the recipe a bit.
