*Baking*

Breanna and I decided to spend an afternoon baking treats. She loved every second of being able to help mommy in the kitchen :)

*Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas*

With this being my first house, I have to start collecting decorations for Christmas. This is one of my favorite holidays - like most peoples, and I come from a family who all have houses full of Christmas this time of year.

I decided that with a very active 18 month old, a baby due in about 3 weeks, and a kitten who still has claws that a christmas tree is out this year. That is one of my favorite parts, but we will just have to go and appreciate my moms even more. Next year however, I am getting one :)

This is the beginnings of our outside. Next year I hope to have lights hanging, And I still am getting garland to go around the banister, possibly the garage and a big festive wreathe.

*Breanna's Big Girl Bed*

With a new baby coming, it was time for Breanna to be a big girl and get her own "big girl bed". I am trying to make the transition as easy and comforting as possible , to the girl who doesn't sleep very well. She was super excited to sit on it, and even tried the good old "jumping on the bed".

It's the perfect little bed for her to get adjusted to.

*Phase 2 of Baby Boy Room*

It's still a work in progress...but here is what the crib looks like and the first picture is the new change table I got from ikea. Kinda nice, seeing as I didn't have one with Breanna. There still is a lot of work that needs to be done -- I have a whole lot of clothes that need folded, some pictures and shelves need to hung, but at least it's on the way to being ready for the baby when he comes!!

Time has flown by, I can't believe it's less than a month till my duedate!!

*A Work In Progress*

Everyone has been asking to see what color I chose to paint the new nursery...here is a sneak peak. This is it in the works of being painted. Love the green color, and its a safari theme so everything is going to be bright for the little guy.

*20 degrees on a November afternoon*

Breanna and I had a blast yesterday afternoon at the park - without coats, hats or even mitts!
The weather was sunny and perfect - almost like a spring afternoon. It reached 20 degrees C here - which is quite a change from the week before.

I'm taking advantage of this because next week they are calling for chilly again - I've been ignoring my housework and going to enjoy the sunshine!

*Happy Halloween

*Carving The Great Pumpkin*

5 pumpkins to carve- and a little curious B who has her first experience with pumpkin guts. Hahah it was a fun and exciting night for everyone.

I had my family come over to help us carve the 4 that we had got, and they brought one over as well.

This is my favorite pic from the night - B was trying to scoop the insides out and the pumpkin was almost as big as she is!

*Halloween Parade*

Thursday October 30.08 we went to the mall for a halloween parade. This is the 2nd annual - and also the 2nd for us because we went lastyear. Breanna and her friends Brooklynn and Ashton walked around the mall collecting treats from stores showing off their costumes. Well....everyone but B bc she wouldn't wear hers (until we got home)

It was a lot of fun, and sooo many kids and their moms, dad's and caregivers were there to have some trick or treats.

B and my mom got the candy together! I think they both enjoyed themselves.

The pictures with Breanna in her costume were from when we got home - she then thought it would be okay to wear it. :-) So we had some fun.

Next year we will see what happens as we will have another little guy to join in on the fun, and also sadly Brooklynn and her parents will be moving away. Maybe they will be able to come down and enjoy the day still .

*Baby Caleb* 3d Ultraound - 32 weeks

This had to have been one of the coolest things I was given the chance to see.

Steve and I decided to do the 3d ultrasound for this pregnancy - and wow it was amazing!!
You can see everything :-)
Makes me want him to come now - even though I know he still needs a couple of weeks to finish growing. But - oh so cute.

*Cold*

The cold weather is upon us - hats and mitts are a must with going outside now.

Breanna and I took advantage of a semi - warm afternoon to head to the library and for a walk through the park.

*Uncle Corey and Crystal*

Tuesday night Breanna had her Uncle and Crystal come over to play.

We had dinner, and then she was dancing to her favorite song with each of them....I think she made them listen to the song about 10 times!!!!

*KimGlow Farms*

Halloween is my favorite holiday (aside from Christmas of course) so when I was introduced to this farm last year, I fell in love.

There are so many different things to do - and for everyone of all ages. Breanna is still a bit small for most of it, but she got to do more than last year. We fed the animals at the petting zoo - which she enjoyed. Especially NORM - a HUGE Bull who will steal your entire ice cream cone. And the goats because they were at her level.

We went on a "Haunted Hay Ride" through the forest, where they have Witches in costumes jump out and talk to you. B wasn't impressed here - they scared her!~ Poor munchkin.

She climbed through play tubes, and played in hay bales and then we went to pick out our pumpkins. 4 came home with us and I can't wait for next week to carve them!!!!

*Fun with the camera*

We were having fun with my camera.

I would put it on the auto setting and breanna started taking pics of herself. It was cute.

The last picture is of her and "Bob" the turtle which usually comes in the car with us, and goes on many adventures. We brought him inside to have tubs with her, and currently he is lost in our house somewhere.

Poor oh poor Bob!!!!

I love it bc she can say his name

*Introducing Bubbles"

This is B's fish first fish tank and her gold fish bubbles.

We actually had another bubbles that her Grammy won at the fall fair for her - but sadly, that fish only lasted 2 days.

I had to go out that morning and replace the fish, because she kept wanting to go over to the glass jar she was temporarily living in and look at "Bubbles" which she can say.

Happy to report that bubbles is a happy and healthy part of Breanna's bedroom and B takes very good care of her friend.

*My Tummy*

*We're Engaged*

Thanksgiving weekend 2008 was one of the busiest we have had - and also one of the most special.

On Sunday (october 12.08) we went to the fair as a family with my parents, and Steve's Dad. It was a great day and we had lots of fun.

The plans after were to go back to my parents house for dinner. I was so thirsty from walking around for hours - and not to mention stopping at the fry stand - that I needed a drink. Not a big deal seeing as I always grab one the minute I get to my parents house....well funny thing was they asked what I was doing (getting an ice cube from the freezer)

We sit down to eat, and my mom gets everyone a drink. She takes my mug (which was black) and refills it for me. I have B on my lap feeding her so I really didn't pay much attention.

About half way through supper, Steve looks at me and is like "Are you thirsty?..You've hardly had anything to drink all day". I said no bc I had just had a lot to drink when we got home, but then him and my mom started looking funny at me...so I reached for the glass...and looked down.... and there was a ring in my ice cube!!!!!!! (*Now I did know what the ring looked like bc a couple weeks back we had been out to pick what I liked and had my finger sized. I knew it was coming, just didn't know when/how)

They switched it to the original glass that was in the plan - which was clear!! And - the funny part was made me sit for over and hour to watch it melt!!!!

Needless to say, it was a great idea and ....of course I said yes!!! :-)

*Caesar The Bear*

Caesar is such a cutie. I haven't seen him in over 5 years, so needless to say he is a lot bigger.

We had the chance to see him last sunday afternoon. Getting there - he was asleep in his house..but once we all called him a few times (Breanna growled and he actually responded) he came to see what was going on.

Not too many people can say they have been this close to a black bear (ya I know he is brown - but he is really a black bear) and cute as a button.!

*picking apples*

Every year on Thanksgiving we always go pick apples up in Thornbury, which is close to where we had our cottage growing up. It is always near the end of the season, but that doesn't matter.

This year was great, Breanna was curious about seeing the apples on the tree, and was trying to take a bite out of every one that we picked. Last year she was so small that she wasn't even eating real food, but was given her first taste of apple- and this year she was munching everything she could find.
